How is my camera connected to the Internet? Does my camera require Internet connection on the jobsite?
All our camera systems are IP based, as such we use an encrypted Internet connection to transmit the data to our servers. Your camera will connect to the Internet thru a cellular network (we work out all the details so you don’t have to!). You simply plug the camera in a standard 120V power supply and you can start viewing your images online from any computer. The diagram below illustrates how it all works.
What about installation?
Our systems are shipped plug-n-play. That means you just need to supply power to the system and it is up and running. We provide full installation support by phone and email. Looking for a turnkey solution? We do installs nationwide.
How often are pictures taken? For how long are they stored?
Images are taken every 15 minutes during normal work hours. Extended recording hours, and different image capture frequencies available. If one of your cameras is a PTZ, then you get LIVE 24 hour access to your site. The images will be stored on our servers as long your project is active. An archive of all the images captured during the project, along with a Time Lapse Video will be sent to you once your project is complete. This service is FREE and included in your monthly subscription.
Can I have the pictures to appear on my website?
Yes you can. Just give us a call or email us and we will send you a small code to paste on your website. You can then display the most recent picture on your website. Alternatively, we can create a dedicated page for all your cameras so you can have a centralized monitoring console from which to launch and view the different jobsites. This service is also included in your monthly subscription fee.
What do I get for my monthly subscription fee?
For the monthly subscription fee we host your images on our secure servers, give you access to all the images that were captured during the project, send you all the images plus a time-lapse video on a CD or DVD at project completion. Your subscription fee also includes website integration, a dedicated page for your cameras and world-class technical support.
What if for some reason I need to temporarily ‘pause’ my subscription?
No construction project is immune from unexpected delays or temporary work stoppage. If for any reason you do not need to record images for 1 or more months, you will not be billed for those months. You only pay for our service when you need it.
Once my project is over, can I move the camera to another project?
Absolutely! Just give us a call and we will update your account with all the new project details.
